Fentanyl shuts down the respiratory system, which stops breathing and leads to death if lifesaving interventions, like Narcan, are not immediately used. Often, victims just look like they’re sleeping.

Chris Didier shares his story of losing his son Zach to fentanyl poisoning. Zach thought he was taking a Percocet® that he got from a dealer through Snapchat; he didn’t know it was fake and laced with fentanyl.
