National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day

August 21, 2023:

Fentanyl Response

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Fentanyl-laced drugs are extremely dangerous because many people may be unaware that their drugs are laced with fentanyl, which can lead to poisoning, accidental overdose, and death. They are made to mimic the appearance of prescription drugs, often with the same shape, color, size, and markings. Just 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be deadly – approximately the amount of 2 grains of salt.

Today we come together as a community to fight the fentanyl crisis and provide education to prevent its spread.
